Just finished reading the book written by Hartmut Esslinger, a world renowned designer. It was interesting to look into the brain of the man who has masterminded so many influential designs in the world. One of the product one has to mention must be the Snow-White design of the iMac that revitalized the Apple empire and somehow the career of Steve Jobs as well.
In many parts of the book, Esslinger spent huge proportion in advocating the green design, a sustainable and responsible way to design and produce products. It can be inspiring to many designers, manufacturers and surely the consumer, one who really have the power to decide which is a successful product.
After flipping the last page, I would expect to read more inside-stories or the innovation process of his designs. Well… there are some indeed… but I would like to see more.
